Personal Safety Seminar Organised by International Office

There are many issues and matters that will be of concern for international students studying in Malaysia, particularly in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Personal safety is an issue that all international students in UPM should take into consideration seriously. It is important that you take proactive measures to protect your self from becoming victims of crime. Therefore, in helping international students to understand nature of crimes and be “street-wise” in protecting themselves from becoming a victim of crime, UPM International Student Association (UPMISA) is co-organising a half-day seminar on personal safety with International Office. The aims of this seminar are:

• to help students understand the nature of crimes;
  
• to introduce strategies and tips on self-protection;
  
• the role of police in helping victims of crime.
  

The “Personal Safety Seminar” will be held at Auditorium Jurutera, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia on 07 May 2008 - Wednesday.

All international students are highly encouraged to attend this programme.
Please register with UPM International Student Association (UPMISA) by 05 May 2008 - Monday.
