1.All new international students are required to obtain the Visa with Reference (VDR) before their entry to Malaysia.
2.As for existing student, whose students pass expired at their home county for more than 80 days, the students are required to obtain Visa with Reference (VDR) before entering Malaysia. Please note that student who failed to follow these rules will not be able to get their student Pass.
However, if the student is at his/her home country and the student pass expiry date is less than 80 days, students can enter Malaysia with social Visit Pass. Upon your arrival you can apply for an extension of student pass.
Visa with Reference (VDR) means a visa issued by the Malaysian Representative Office abroad to a non-citizen to enable individuals to enter Malaysia after the visa is approved by the Immigration Department Headquarters.
In order to get an approval from the Immigration Department of Malaysia, the following documents are required by the visa and pass unit, International Division (ID) of UPM.
